Is senseless violence useful?

Saint does not consider itself a particularly intellectual person. It is good at understanding and following orders. It is physically large. It is physically quick. It has good vision, and good hearing, and it is good at listening. It knows how to use many different kinds of weapons. It is trained in the practice of murder. It understands that it will never experience pain, because it has skin made of iron and ribs made of kevlar and hands that are able to make people stop moving forever.

It feels that senseless violence is useful.

Saint does not ask much of the people around it. This is not to claim it is private. It will play cards. It will look people in the eyes. It has been known to, very occasionally, smile. It walks around the bastion at night, and it does not remove its riot gear. It ensures its weaponry is in good condition. When it sees a zombie, it removes it. It does not consider itself to be a person, because people have a choice.

It does not make choices. It simply does the right things in the right order, and the world becomes a better place.

It is useful.
