GMs and NPCs
Tara (CAMPO)
OC Pronouns: she/her
Email: gm_tara@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: I resent being made to choose.
Weapon of Choice: @everyone
Favourite Zombie Media: Halloween (609 A.D.) Also Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Chief Z-Medic Naomi D'Ambrosio | she/her | TBC | The gentle, soft-spoken co-leader of The Bastion, Naomi is insistent (by her standards) that there is no formal hierarchy; instead, she emphasises the importance of co-operation between Z-Medics and others in order to keep people looked-after, and is more than glad to apprentice as many hands to her work in the Substation's infirmary as are willing to get bloody. |
Alvydas | zie/zir | TBC | A withdrawn and impersonal person, whose reputation as a recluse is not helped by the fact that zie refuses to utter a word. Zie spends zir time doing what could by some definitions be called 'helping Rhys garden', although there is a case to be made for calling it 'being a clumsy nuisance'. |
Ace
OC Pronouns: they/them
Email: gm_ace@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: The psychology of fear and betrayal.
Weapon of Choice: The psychology of fear and betrayal.
Favourite Zombie Media: Shaun of the Sheep Dead.
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Peregrine Scott | they/them | White shirt | Messy hair and ink-stained hands take turns to cover a soft, yet worry-lined face. Never spotted without a satchel full of semi-completed maps and at least two leaking pens, Peregrine spends their days flitting between their desk and wherever their sibling, Mars, happens to be stationed, ever eager for reports of the outside world to add to their sketches. Perhaps, one day, they'll gather the courage to leave the Bastion themselves. |
Verity Lowell | she/her | Black skirt | Head bowed and hands clasped–this is how Verity usually appears. It is not entirely clear whether she is bound by fear or devotion. Though quiet and far-between, her words are predictable–mutters of prayer, repeated time and time again, praising the High Priestess of The Light's Embrace. It's not obvious how Verity earns her keep, but she never seems in want of anything. Besides salvation. |
Alyssa
OC Pronouns: she/her
Email: gm_alyssa@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: The pressure of the post-apocalypse, and what it makes us do. Weird zombie biology.
Weapon of Choice: A dragon. Have you watched the Battle of Winterfell? Shit's effective, not to mention cool as fuck.
Favourite Zombie Media: The Maze Runner trilogy. Yeah, it's zombie media, fight me.
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Captain Chris R. Lincoln | he/him | Bomber jacket | Old fighter pilot, Captain of the Bastion and its current co-leader beside Naomi, known for his unyielding discipline and occasionally uncompromising views on security, safety and ensuring everyone does their part. Stern, strict and unafraid to exact justice, although he is anything but unfair. Despite his outward demeanour, he usually argues in favour of 'frivolous activities' such as song nights, and heavily dislikes being referred to by his rank. |
Ben
OC Pronouns: he/they but taking suggestions
Email: gm_ben@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: Human nature at the edge of destruction.
Weapon of Choice: The friends we made along the way.
Favourite Zombie Media: Time Warp on Just Dance 4 for the Wii.
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Raul Shen | they/them | Jacket | The Face of the Archive… if anyone actually called them that. The so-called Archivist wins no favours with their aloofness, but their finds on the Excavation are occasionally useful. And in a pinch, a story about the old world will always shut them up. |
Shansa Kanel | she/her | Jumper and skirt | Need a thrill without the risk of death? Shansa's always up for a game of Parett, provided she's not out on supply patrol. Nothing stops her from squeezing a bit of luck out of every moment, and she's lost more than her fair share of rations as a result. The death of her father seems only to have fuelled the ferocity with which she plays; the wins twice as jubilant and the losses thrice as painful. |
Medic Guneir | he/him | Lab coat | Death does not rest easy in Guneir's presence; or so he would like to think, at least. If you want an impossible task, try persuading him to surrender on anything – a staunch scepticist, he'll insist on his opinion till the end. But stay on his good side (easier said than done), and you'll have a staunch ally. Set him to task, and he'll get it done – whatever it takes. |
Izzy
OC Pronouns: she/they
Email: gm_izzy@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: Purpose, resistance, pain.
Weapon of Choice: Charm, snacks, and a critical mass of plutonium-239.
Favourite Zombie Media: Plants vs Zombies, but only when my brains don’t get eaten. Yeah, I have a fear of zombies, what of it?
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Eddy Currents | any | Hi-Vis | A former technician at a nuclear power plant, he's watched the world crumble once before. Finding the Bastion was a lucky break, or perhaps fate; either way, they spend their days physically preventing its collapse – with hammers and perseverance. Not much of a conversationalist, but certainly a friend, unless too many things start breaking. |
Eris Novak | he/she | Wearing Glasses | An Eirsasi, she's a no-nonsense scout and guard at the Bastion. Always reluctant to let new people in – in fact, almost everyone who arrived to the Bastion after him only got in because he was busy scrounging for supplies. Eris doesn't take too kindly to people who put the Bastion and, by extension, herself at risk. Even the rats know not to steal her things, lest they catch her wrath. |
Rei
OC Pronouns: he/him
Email: gm_rei@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: Organisational structure. Oh, and cults, I guess.
Weapon of Choice: Throwing knives or axes – oh, we're doing joke answers? Um… a really sharp pencil?
Favourite Zombie Media: The Last of Us Part 2. I love Ashley Johnson.
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Charlotte 'Lottie' Palmer | she/her | Checkered shirt | Previously a farmhand and mechanic, Lottie is always keeping herself busy around the Bastion; she is always eager to help others and her coworker Eddy – even if she doesn't have all the answers. She's quite blunt, and very confident in her own ability to make decisions – though she's always a bit shyer when she sees her fiancé Mars, still infatuated. Lottie personally worships Talamh, but she also follows the other two goddesses – just to a lesser extent. |
Rhys Withers | he/they | Mushroom Shirt | Rhys is responsible for managing the crops and food sources at the Bastion. While they are also sometimes asked to conduct surveys about the surrounding flora, he much prefers picking dandelions and chatting to whoever comes by. If you step on their plants, they won't be angry – just disappointed. It appears he is, or at least was a follower of The Bulwark of Devotion, but he doesn't talk about it much. |
Private Ormina Mehri | she/her | White Shirt and Gun | A Private First Class soldier from Luat na-Bonswi, having travelled to Din Talin for foreign military operations before the collapse. She can usually be found up on a guard tower with her trusty sniper, or enjoying a game of cards. She's a bit antisocial, but strongly believes in everyone playing their part and maintaining order. [Note: her name is usually written as Mehri Ormina, due to being from Luat na-Bonswi – she is known to sometimes go by her last name, particularly if you are also from Bonswi.] |
Clark Tent | he/him | TBC | To put it simply, Clark is a very eccentric person, always wearing a long night shirt and standing on chairs to preach about his latest new 'theory' (if you can even call them that. Most people are confused about how he's managed to survive this long, or what he believes in, but at least he's entertaining). |
Yona
OC Pronouns: they/she
Email: gm_yona@contagion.oxfordrpg.com
Main Themes: Humanity at its extremes.
Weapon of Choice: Batting my eyelashes oh-so-sweetly.
Favourite Zombie Media: Minecraft (2009).
NPCs:
Name | Pronouns | Costume | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Dr. Joreom'da 'Joe' Finch | he/him | Tie(s) | A once-lauded professor of Linguistics from Jotama, Dr. Joe is now known in the rare places he is known as a quack. The feeble, bespectacled, Bausanan man (an advocate of Spontaneity) has published a collection of books in an area he calls ‘Supernatural Linguistics’ – which is to say he is certain that vampires communicate through sharp-toothed fricatives. Of course, the next frontier is zombie communication. |
Lieutenant Mars P. Scott | they/them | Black cap | Every gate requires a guard. Lieutenant Mars P. Scott accepts their role as defender of the Bastion with grace. Never without a weapon on their back and their mastiff Pluto by their side, Mars is a familiar face to residents of the Bastion. Their tough exterior melts away when they’re with their fiancée, Lottie, or their sibling, Peregrine – or if you make a good enough joke while on Patrol with them. |
Siobhan Knowles | she/her | Clipboard and blazer | Miss Knowles, a Bonswi woman, moves with speed. She seems to be able to move from one side of the Bastion to the other at the speed of light, earnestly bringing someone their coffee or taking notes for someone else's meeting. Face always lit by a bright (if strained) smile, she’ll do her best to make time to chat to you between this job and that. |
