A small metal cylinder sits on plank of wood. The papers inside would be yellow, if there was anyone here to read them. A sticky label, faded from sunlight and rain, reads in careful writing 'Found by the Saint in river near Bastion (2104(?)), date unknown'. A second plank of wood, balanced across two rocks, serves as a makeshift desk. There is a small camp-chair, pushed back slightly as if the occupant has merely left to go brew a cup of tea. Dust settles.
